The DX100 and DX27 are Yamaha's newest synthesizers and are priced for the entry level keyboardist & synthesist. The DX100 features 4 operator FM tone generation system in a smaller key 49 note keyboard. 192 preset ROM patches are included, as well as 24 patch memories. Pitch bend, modulation & breath controller functions are supported and in addition, velocity can be recognized thru midi. Weight is less then 6 lbs and can be battery operated for use with a shoulder strap.

The DX27 has all of the features of the DX100 with the addition of a 5 octave normal size keyboard. DX27 - $645.00
